Three different people recently contacted me and asked me the same question: Should I start a blog?
They wanted to know if it has been worth the work. They wanted to know if I have enjoyed blogging.
Oh my stars, YES! And if you have ever wondered about starting a blog, but felt unsure about what you’d write about, let me just put that fear to rest. You have a message to share. How do I know this? You are alive.
Welcome to The Parenting Dare BLOG! My name is Lori Doerneman and this post was written with great love for mothers of little people.
Eric asked me to share a favorite parent hack with you. He thought I had some clever way of doing life with 8 kids.
I thought about that and laughed. I have no good parent hacks or ways that I have made life easier unless you call letting my kids sleep in their clothes so they won’t have to change in the morning a “parent hack.”
I love, love, love being a mom. I love it all. Okay, I love most of it. It is crazy and chaotic and intense. Family Life showcases the full range of humanity on a minute-to-minute basis. It is the by far the best school I have ever attended.
Welcome to The Parenting Dare blog!
I am a mom of 8. Three of my children are grown and have flown out of the nest. Today I’d like to tell you about my fourth baby bird’s flight into the big wide world.
Over Christmas break I took an afternoon to interview my adult daughter, Rachel Doerneman, about her first semester as a FOCUS Missionary.
FOCUS, “Fellowship of Catholic University Students,” is a unique program that places graduated college students BACK onto college campuses with the trifecta goal:
We win the hearts of college students, build them up in the faith and send them out into the world.
Hello there and welcome to The Parenting Dare Blog! My name is Lori Doerneman and this week's post marks a cool sort of moment in our little history. This week, Christmas 2018, will be met with our first VIDEO podcast.
If you are like me and you like to read content, we will always write for you. However, many people, especially busy mothers, love to LISTEN to content, which is why we started our podcast. Here's that goodness:
“She will need to know your Christmas traditions so she can look forward to them.”
I stopped in my tracks. What Christmas traditions? I mean, sure, we put up a Christmas tree, but surely everyone did that.
Julie Samaniego, the woman that helped us adopt our four-year old, was adamant.
What’s one of your craziest Christmas memories? I can easily tell you mine: 1996. We were in St. Louis and I was big and pregnant with child number three.
It was Christmas Eve and my husband and I took our three-year old Eric and one-year old Rachel to an amazing family’s home, The Zeidlers.
Advent starts today, Sunday, December 2, 2018!
Oh my stars. A good friend recently asked me to think about my best Christmas memory….
With Thanksgiving over, the Christmas season is here. I don’t know about you, but it’s so incredibly easy to get sucked into the DOING:
Have you ever felt like you could not stop eating a certain food? Or have you ever lost motivation after eating a certain type of meal?
Last week I gave you an inside look into what happens when I consume too much sugar.
It ain’t pretty.
