With Thanksgiving over, the Christmas season is here. I don’t know about you, but it’s so incredibly easy to get sucked into the DOING:

Have you ever felt like you could not stop eating a certain food? Or have you ever lost motivation after eating a certain type of meal?
Last week I gave you an inside look into what happens when I consume too much sugar. It ain’t pretty.
Addiction.
It sounds like such an ugly word, doesn’t it? Yet most of have them. And when something controls us, it more or less takes front row in our life, ruling us. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want anything ruling me besides God. So the question becomes: how and why does some THING gain the upper hand in our lives?
The other day I was upset with one of my children. This particular child had their own idea about their life and it did not coincide with mine.
So I threw on my sweats and a sweatshirt, grabbed a water bottle and left the house to go on a long bike ride because I was getting angry and I didn’t want to make a bad situation worse. |
