I love, love, love being a mom. I love it all. Okay, I love most of it. It is crazy and chaotic and intense. Family Life showcases the full range of humanity on a minute-to-minute basis. It is the by far the best school I have ever attended.
Welcome to The Parenting Dare blog! I am a mom of 8. Three of my children are grown and have flown out of the nest. Today I’d like to tell you about my fourth baby bird’s flight into the big wide world.

Over Christmas break I took an afternoon to interview my adult daughter, Rachel Doerneman, about her first semester as a FOCUS Missionary.
FOCUS, “Fellowship of Catholic University Students,” is a unique program that places graduated college students BACK onto college campuses with the trifecta goal: We win the hearts of college students, build them up in the faith and send them out into the world. |
