and I have been a long-time student of Habit Formation.
For the next five months, I am going to be implementing specific rhythms and routines into my daily walk to better support my journey. Why? Because I am the heart of my home. I am the Mama Matriarch.
When I am nourishing myself, I have the physical and mental capacity to create a life my whole family loves.
When I think about deliberate self-care, I have found that it's about being balanced and feeling whole in all areas: spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, social. When I attend to the micro areas of my life, which are nutrition, sleep, prayer and hydration, I am more present for the macro areas of my life, which are kids, husband and now teaching.
